Community Foundation practitioners and other change-makers focused on place and local communities will meet in Goolwa in South Australia, 29-31 October.

This year’s Forum theme Better Together affirms the central role collaboration and solidarity in community philanthropy. At the Forum, we will explore how we can work better with different partners to strengthen local impact for our communities, and how community foundations can work more closely together as a sector to amplify our collective voice and visibility.

Australian Community Philanthropy would like to acknowledge that the Forum will take place on the traditional lands of the Ngarrindjeri people, the traditional owners of the lower Murray River, western Fleurieu Peninsula and the Coorong of South Australia.

Summary

  • The National Community Foundations Forum is Australia’s premier learning and networking opportunity for Community Foundation leaders, practitioners, friends and supporters of community philanthropy.
  • The Forum offers inspiration, education and connection. It invites us to explore local responses to the big challenges we all face around Australia – environmental, social, economic and cultural.
  • Guided by our hosts from the Fleurieu Community Foundation, we will take a closer look at the local experience with community philanthropy, then put this in a wider context with the help of invited keynote speakers providing a big-picture perspective.
  • Practical how-to sessions and time to network and learn with and from peers will offer take-home ideas for adapting how we work as the funding landscape, technology and local community needs change.
